Over 200 students and sponsors had the opportunity to learn more about the district HealthRays® project at this year’s Youth Assembly. Besides displaying and sharing materials at the HealthRays booth, District Governor Nominee Lyle Staab announced the HealthRays Cup fundraising competition to attendees during the afternoon session.
District 6440 invites its Interact Cubs to support the district’s efforts to bring digital x–ray technology to needy populations in Guatemala. Each year until the project is complete, the Interact club donating the most to HealthRays annually from July 1 – April 15 will have its name engraved on the Cup, which will be presented at the District Conference. Interact Clubs are being challenged to see how many years they can take home the Cup.
All donations will help HealthRays reach its final goal of 29 digital x-ray units in Guatemala and make a real impact on tens to hundreds of thousands of needy people.
